英語ってよく「ツール」って言われるけど、
僕にとっては、まさに“車”みたいなもの。
TOEIC満点は、ピカピカの高級車。
性能も見た目も最高で、どこにでも行けそうだ。
でも、僕が今乗ってるのは、オンボロの軽自動車。
エンジン音もうるさいし、スピードも出ないし、
乗り心地も悪くて、景色を楽しむ余裕なんてない。
それでも──
僕はこの車で、高速道路に出ている。
ガタガタ道でも、間違いだらけでも、
ハンドルを握って、自分の言葉で走ってる。
英語は道具。
でも、目的は“心が動くこと”。
VRChatで友達ができた。
英語で「ありがとう」と言って、相手が笑ってくれた。
通じた瞬間のあの小さな感動。
話してる最中にふと、心が温かくなること。
これって、運転しなきゃ味わえないんだよね。
文法の正しさでも、発音のキレイさでもなくて、
「伝えたい」「つながりたい」って気持ちでハンドルを握るから、
たどり着ける景色がある。
高級車じゃないし、まだまだぎこちない。
でも僕は、ちゃんと走ってる。
今日もまた、少しずつ前に進んでる。
そしてその旅路の中で、
心が動く瞬間を、ひとつずつ集めていくんだ。

English is just a tool. What I really want is to feel something. Even if my English is still a beat-up little car.
People often say English is a “tool.”
For me, it’s like a car.
TOEIC 990 is a luxury car—fast, beautiful, perfect performance.
But the one I’m driving now?
It’s more like an old beat-up little car.
The engine’s noisy.
Acceleration is slow.
The ride is rough, and there’s no time to enjoy the view.
Still—I’ve taken it onto the highway.
Even if I stumble, even if I get things wrong,
I’m holding the wheel. I’m moving forward with my own words.
English is just a tool.
But the goal is to feel something real.
I made a friend on VRChat.
I said “thank you” in English, and they smiled.
That little joy when they understood me.
The warmth I felt while talking, even awkwardly.
You can’t experience that unless you start driving.
It’s not about perfect grammar or pronunciation.
It’s about wanting to connect—
and that’s what lets me see new places, feel new things.
I’m not in a luxury car.
But I’m on the road.
Step by step, I’m moving forward.
And on this journey,
I’m collecting moments that truly move me.
